I also started stitching "I AM SHER LOCKED", which I designed myself using stitching software.
New Rory photo! Bad kitty is nibbling on a scarf Mom knitted for me.
And finally, Sherlock gifs I found amusing:
That second one is from the DVD (which I got the other day and already watched, commentaries and all!). Yeah, that's what he was saying there. It was hilarious.
Oh, we were screwing up left and right. We finally got it together and sounded okay, but we got out a half an hour late. My voice was so worn out!
I couldn't finish Mom's present. I told her, and she said, "Well, remember there are twelve days of Christmas!" I'll show her what she's getting. It's ALMOST done, but I just don't have the time now. I'll work on it while I'm at Katie's house sitting next week.
The "library girls" lunch was nice. Mom and I made tea sandwiches and soup, and I also made cookies. Everything was a hit! I cut the sandwiches into Christmas tree shapes with a cookie cutter:
Finally, Awwwwww! I think Rory likes my dad best out of all the family.
Some Christmas fun photos behind the cut.

I'm just glad he was safe where he was...because there are coyotes and foxes in the area. He REALLY would have been scared if he was actually outside and not in the garage.
He gets extra cuddles tonight. I'm not letting him go!
I love it! There are going to be fourteen adults and two babies at Thanksgiving this year- I think Ella and Ethan will love the big turkey! Mom and Dad's is going to be crazy. I hope their new floors can take it.
Of course, with Thanksgiving up next, that means Christmas is less than two months away. I've finished two projects already- the "Merry Christmas" picture is now a jewelry box:
And here's a Britty Kitty ornament!
I'm going to do a small version of "Merry Christmas" and a large version of Britty next.
I haven't posted a Rory photo in a while. He's Mister Grumpy Pants today:
Big boy. I wonder how much bigger he's going to get!
Do I even have to say it? Colorado State lost yesterday. I guess the Boise State game sucked out their will to live. :(
Broncos actually won, though. Color me surprised!
On a brighter note, Rory had a mini check up Friday, to get his claws trimmed. He's gained another two pounds, and now weighs 7.9 pounds! Big boy!
My aunt Connie and her husband, Marv, visited this weekend. Luckily, no one got into any political fights. :p We had too much fun doing touristy stuff and eating to really talk about anything else.
We went to a wine tasting on Sunday. I've never done one before. I'm really not a big wine person, but some of the ones I tasted were pretty good.
Lots of photos of the winery and other stuff, and a couple of new Rory pics under the cut!

I still have two minis coming, and I'll probably get one more big doll at Christmas. *lol*
Another kitten photo.
DERP. I love the look on his face.
Rory has been naughty. He peed in his kitty bed so I had to wash it! I don't know why he did that. He's so good about using his litterbox.
He likes stairs, too.
I can't believe I've only had him for five weeks! He's really settled in now.
Other stuff- first footage from Sherlock's second season is out...I really hope they don't mess up Hound of the Baskervilles too much. But YAY! More Sherlock and Watson!
I almost named the kitten Sherlock instead of Rory. *lol*

Mom's headed for the Bahamas. We had to pick up Aunt Pauletta at BWI and then dropped them off at their hotel. Dad got us to the airport an hour and a half early, so we had coffee and spent time in the observation lounge, which had a little air travel museum complete with pieces of an old 737. I forgot how small airplanes are inside- seeing a section of the cabin with its four seats and tiny row made me a bit claustrophobic! It was fun to watch planes take off and land. I'd love to fly again someday.
Rory is growing so fast. I swear he's put on another half pound since his vet visit last week, but he's not getting fat. He's getting long and tall, and a lot of the length is his tail! He is such a great kitten.
Rory had a follow-up vet visit this morning. He's gained a pound and four ounces, and is very healthy. The vet wrote a note on his chart: "He needs to grow into his ears!" *lol* She also said that his reaction to the earthquake was normal- she saw a lot of cats (only a few dogs) that actually had seizures after the quake! Poor kitties! Speaking of the quake, yep, there are still aftershocks. They're getting weaker and weaker- most of them I haven't felt. I though I felt an itty bitty one this morning, though...but then, I can't tell the difference between a small earthquake and artilery exercises at Quantico! :p More Rory photos- he loves to play with his scratching post, his disturbingly realistic toy mouse, and his grandma!
Discovered a bruise on my knee from when I dropped to the floor during the first shock. Ouch. I must have been so scared that I wasn't paying attention to where I landed!
I had to go back for blood tests this morning. Downtown Fredericksburg looks pretty messy in places- lots of bricks from crumbled chimneys and walls. Revolutionary War era buildings were not designed to withstand earthquakes! I shudder to think of what a larger quake would have done.
Lots of buildings in D.C. are shut down, including the National Cathedral. The Washington Monument has cracks in it, too.
He has a new scratching post/perch and he loves it.
He's one hell of a cat. I think he's finally used to his new home. He's "talking" more, too. Meow meow meow.
I spent most of Sunday at the Dillard's outlet. I found some great bargains, but the best was a Badgley Mischka purse, originally $298, marked down to $44. So now I have an awesome designer purse. :p
