Can't believe it. Lost is all over. And what an ending...though I think it was a bit of a cop-out. So much stuff is left unanswered...

I'm a little overwhelmed by the finale. I'm still crying! I'll re-cap later.

I'm now three weeks behind on Lost. And for some reason, I don't care much. I'll try to catch up, but I've been more interested in reading and other stuff than watching T.V. at all. Huh. No idea what's up with me...

It's back, and it's awesome. Great start to the final season. The last two minutes had me fall off my seat!

Lost was INSANE tonight. What a cliffhanger! I can't wait until 2010.

It was so nice to be home to watch Lost! And it was great tonight,

I don't feel bad about skipping out on choir, not one bit. They'll survive the next couple of months without me. And when I go back, I'll have a rested voice and mind. Then, maybe I'll have an easier time dealing with Choir Director Who Doesn't Know What The Hell He's Doing and Choir Librarian. :p

Well, half of it. Once they started working on Palm Sunday stuff, I left. No point in practicing music I won't be singing. :p So I'm actually home to watch Lost. Unfortunately, it's a Kate episode. *roll eyes* I only taped half of last week's episode by mistake. I have no idea what went on for much of it!
mollybarton: (arimowett)
I've had a headache all day. Part migraine, part something else. I missed choir tonight.

I'm caught up with Lost now. Tonight's episode was a mind fuck, which was entertaining but not good for my headache!

I'm going to attempt more screencaps. I have the episode of Foyle's War that Bryan Dick guest starred in, and I want to do a little picspam of it (for the squee community!). Also, I plan to screencap from the 100 Days special feature from Master and Commander- will definitely get some shots of D'Arcy and Woodall, which should make you happy, [ profile] tselmende !

I won't have time to do much of anything this weekend, though. I'll be at the Oscar marathon all day Saturday with my mom and sister. It should be a good time. I'll take notes, and have fun watching the Oscars on Sunday!

My region-free DVD player suddenly doesn't work. :( The picture is wobbly. No other way to describe it! I really wanted to watch Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky again, and now I can't. Maybe my laptop DVD player's region code can be hacked...

Didn't have to house sit. That's good news, because it means that Paul's dad is okay for now. I did have to walk and feed the dogs yesterday afternoon, though- everyone was in Pennsylvania for the day, visiting him at the hospital.

Had a ball bead shopping!  I must have spent over an hour in Michaels- the good one in Richmond. There was a huge sale going on. I found some beautiful semi-precious beads and lots of charms. I have great ideas for everything I bought! If I don't go to the movies tomorrow, I'm going to spend a lot of time working on new designs.

I'm finally making progress on my cross stitch, Tiger Lily. She has a head again! And the wings are coming along nicely.

I finally watched the season premiere of Lost- wow. That answered a few questions! It's going to be another long, strange trip...but I'm still mad they moved it back to 9:00. I hate having to tape it. I forget to do it, and then I get, well, lost! :p

I watched Prayers for Bobby on Lifetime (yeah, sometimes they do decent movies!). It made me cry.:(

I hope I can get rid of this cold. I don't know if I'll be able to sing tomorrow. Mostly I'm tired out from the decongestants I've been taking.

Please, please, PLEASE put your reviews/spoilers under a cut. I can't watch until tomorrow. :( And that's assuming my recorder works. I can't wait! Last season's end was so surprising. I wish the show hadn't been moved back to Wednesday night! That means I can never participate in the running commentaries. Stupid choir practice! The director had better not keep us too late tonight.

Oscar nominations tomorrow! My mom, sister, and I are going to do the Best Picture nominees marathon again...I hope Revolutionary Road and Rachel Getting Married are among them. That's the only way I'll get to see either, I'm sure.

Mom insists on dragging me with her to see Inkheart. I never read the book and have no interest in seeing the movie. Doesn't appeal to me at all. Maybe my nephew will go with her. I want to see Defiance instead. It's actually playing in my town.

ETA- Oh, duh. Now I remember why I could watch Lost last year- it was at 10:00 on Wednesday, not Thursday. Hopefully, next week it will be back to 10:00!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!! That was some ending!

Oh, Lost was good tonight. Made up for the annoying Kate episode last week. Desmond episodes are ALWAYS good. This one really helped all the time stuff on the island start to make sense (Thank you, Faraday!). And Des got to talk to Penny! She still loves him! Wheeeee!

Had a nice V-Day, for a change. Got a surprise gift from my sister and nephew, and Mom and Dad took me to a great new Lebanese restaurant. Had the best lamb kabob, tahini, and pita bread I've had in years!

Lost was better tonight than last week. What an ending! The plot thickens...

Cute meme that's floating around:

Pick 10 people and give them the "you make my day" award. If you're picked, you are charged with picking 10 of your own.

I have such a big f-list that it's hard to choose, so don't think you don't make my day if you're not picked. These are the folks who do it the most often, or at least the ones I see around here (or TrekBBS) most often:

For some reason, the names aren't coming out right. crusherdisciple should be on the list, too.

Nice time for me to get a cold and sore throat. I can't go to choir tonight. I must get better before Saturday. That's when I'm going to the National Cathedral to sing! We're singing very hard music. I don't think most of the choir members can do it. Fortunately, we're singing with about 400 other people...Anyone in the D.C. area is welcome to come to the service- I think it's at 3:00. It should be lovely.

I think I will go to the meet up next Saturday. It should be a lot of fun. I've only been to D.C. once since the last meet (for Spamalot). I love going to D.C., and I've been planning to visit the Spy Museum anyway.

To those who read my locked entry- I think everything is said and done now, so I'll nuke it in case it gets in the wrong hands. :p Thanks for the kind words, I'm going to be staying put for now. The Meet-up forum is a good place to mod, and I'd hate to leave the BR.

Lost is back tomorrow night! Yay! Happy dance! Running commentary at TrekBBS! (I knew there was a reason for me to stick around!) Eight whole episodes...then that's it because of the writer's strike. House only gets two more new episodes this season (last night's was pretty good). Thank God for Torchwood- eleven more new episodes..

Speaking of Torchwood, I'm really looking forward to next week's episode, To the Last Man. (Of course, I'll probably see it tomorrow ) It's Tosh-centric, yay. We don't get enough of her. And the guest star is Anthony Lewis, older brother of Matthew from the Harry Potter films. He's just as cute, and I think he might even be a better actor. We'll see after this episode. All those good looks and talent in one family, it's not fair! :p

I think I will make my goal of reading 50 books in 2008 with no problem. I'm about to finish Wide Sargasso Sea. That brings my January total to five: The others were Atonement, Kite Runner, Border Princes (a Torchwood novel, and it was so-so), and 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die. Next up is Nights at the Circus by Angela Carter- someone recommended it years ago and I'm finally getting to it! My cross stitching has been suffering a bit. I'm really getting frustrated with The Bride. And I can't finish Ivy until I get the missing threads and beads...I'm going to pick a couple of one-nighters to do to clear my head. I always feel better about the big projects after I've finished something small.

Behind the cut, of course!!

Bad boy! )

Lost was good tonight. Answered some questions, brought many new ones, but the show seems to be coming together.

Crossing Jordan was pretty good, too...I'm enjoying it while I can. I think it's already been cancelled.

Off to babysit the evil creatures dogs and cat tomorrow until Sunday. Poor Henry was at the vet today. He has Lyme disease. So I have to give him his medicine. Lucky me! I need to take pics of the beasts. I don't have any. And poor Ike won't be around much longer.
